TCY MOTORS Sdn Bhd unveiled a newly refreshed Audi A6 yesterday morning at their showroom at Lambak Industrial Area.

The Audi A6 has numerous motoring industry awards under its belt including the "Best midsize luxury vehicle 2008" by Auto Motor and Sport (AMS) magazine readers' poll, "Auto Trophy 2007/2006/2005/2004" for Best executive class category by German magazine, Auto Zeitung.

According to TCY marketing executive John Tan, the latest A6 features a new engine under its hood.

"In the Audi A6, there is a 2.8 FSI quattro," said John. The engine is a further developed FSI technology model for high performance and low fuel consumption.

A new V6 engine with multi-point Injection and a wonderfully well-balanced character he added.

According to a statement, all Audi engines comply with the Euro 4 exhaust emission limits. Some of the other features of the A6 include an Airbag System which has full-size airbags for driver and front passenger and is selectively activated according to crash severity; front side airbags integrated into front seat backs; large-area side guard head airbag system extends over side windows and protects front and rear passengers in a side-on crash.

The A6 also boast high equipment standard using technologies from the luxury car segment such as MMI basic integrated control concept, with radio and CD changer functions, automatic air-condition, electromechanical parking brake, light and rain sensor (for auto activation of windscreen wipers), coming home/leaving home function: delayed switch off/auto activation of front fog lights, rear driving lights & license plate lights while parking/opening the vehicle, car boot luggage capacity at 546 litres, new top quality grades of leather: Milano leather and new inlay: Radial aluminium.
