TCY Motors yesterday gave away a pair of tickets each to the upcoming blockbuster - Iron Man - to three lucky winners yesterday at its showroom in the Lambak industrial area.
"We are doing this event for Audi customers as well as HSBC customers. There will be two shows for tomorrow night, one at 7.20pm and the other at 8.20pm at Empire Cinema," said TCY Marketing Executive John Tan.
TCY Motors is doing this because Audi has a massive product placement in this movie, added Tan. "Of course we're talking about the R8 and the S5. Now we will also be displaying a few of our models at the venue tomorrow along with a buffet reception for the two shows."
TCY is inviting all Audi owners as well as other special guests for the premiere of Hollywood's latest - Iron Man, who is played by Robert Downey Jr.
Yesterday saw the presentation of the movie tickets and Audi merchandise to three newspaper contest winners. "It was added publicity for the event. A good chance to invite members of the public," said Tan.
"Each winner will get a pair of tickets to the movie, which is by invitation only as Audi stresses on exclusivity," he added. "We had 50 entries, and they had to come up with a slogan that fits the image of the R8 which is the theme car in the movie."
The response, he said, was good as "people actually took the time to send snail mail for the contest"
