In an effort to ensure a smooth change of generations at Audi dealerships, AUDI AG and its dealers specifically invest in junior employees and prepare them for the position of Managing Director. This year, ten candidates completed the 22-months training course.
“With this training, the next generation of management at our dealerships opted for a successful future with Audi,” said Michael Schönberger, Head of the Sales Organization of AUDI AG, when he awarded the certificates of completion in Munich at the beginning of November. “We specifically prepared the participants for our common path and actively accompany them as they assume their new positions of responsibility.”
Since 1998, AUDI AG has supported the dealer organization in the training of its successors; to date, a total of 64 new Audi Managing Directors have completed the program. The training course, which was revised in 2008, is now geared more strongly toward a hands-on approach and encourages attendees to think outside the box. As a result, this year’s group of ten young future leaders also exchanged ideas with senior managers and self-employed professionals from other sectors. In a meeting with a Hamburg advertising agency, for example, topics of the curriculum included recognizing and taking advantage of trends and promoting innovations in the team.
This year, participants from the following dealerships completed the Audi corporate succession program:
