Audi Roadjet Concept Drive train

The 3.2 V6 FSI engine that powers the Roadjet Concept, with Audi's new valvelift valve-timing system, turns out to be an engine that reacts in a very refined manner if moderate use is made of the right foot, with impressively low fuel consumption. When things get a little more serious, the six-cylinder engine, with a peak power output of 300 bhp and maximum torque of 330 Nm, reveals its qualities as a nimble athlete.

This superior transmission design combines the advantages of a 7-speed manual gearbox with the qualities of a modern automatic. The driver benefits from enormous agility and driving enjoyment, with acceleration that is as dynamic as it is smooth – with practically uninterrupted traction. Along with the economy resulting from low fuel consumption figures, the gearbox’s ease of operation is particularly impressive.

The suspension of the Roadjet Concept has no need to fear comparison in terms of dynamics – and at the same time it sets standards where ease of handling is concerned. For the first time on an Audi: Audi dynamic (superimposed) steering, which ensures extremely quiet running at high speed and excellent steering precision on sporty stretches of road, thus enabling quicker reaction times.
