Instrument panel

The clear architecture of the interior draws attention to the instrument panel, which is turned towards the driver in typical Audi style. Three areas distinguished by different colours and materials incorporate the central functional areas. The wide speaker grille lends the instrument panel dynamism and lightness. The familiar stylistic element of the tornado line accentuates the horizontal direction in the instrument panel, and is also echoed in the door. Graphically speaking, the tapering tornado line can be interpreted as the designer's sketch line – symbolising the properties speed and elegance.

Interface

Via the steering wheel, you choose from the two interface modes "Sport" and "Tour". In the "Sport" mode, information is communicated predominantly via the instrument cluster – the clock changes over to digital display. In the "Tour" mode, the Multi Media Interface (MMI) displays information, with the clock simultaneously changing to analogue display.

Touchpad

One of the highlights is the touchpad with Bluetooth capability. The driver can activate the basic architecture of the MMI screen, such as DVD screen navigation, directly by touching the function panels in the display. As well as being able to recognise handwriting, the system can also identify Japanese characters and the Latin alphabet. This mobile device can be used for operating all screen functions in the vehicle.

Interior

The Shooting Brake Concept offers an impressive amount of space. This is all thanks to the special shape of the rear end, which increases both the amount of headroom for the rear passengers and the luggage capacity (up to 730 litres). By virtue of the wide opening angle of the doors and the electric easy entry function for the front seats, gaining access to the rear seats is very straightforward. There is an astonishing amount of knee room at the rear thanks to the wheelbase of 2.47 m.
