The highly efficient FSI® combustion process has already been applied in motor-racing at Audi. This performance-oriented petrol direct injection system not only delivers dynamic responsiveness and agility at all engine speeds, but is also more fuel-efficient as a result of the regulated fuel injection. The proof of this is to be found in the 2.0 TFSI® engine in the Audi A6. The 125 kW (170 bhp) engine accelerates the A6 from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.2 seconds, and with perfectly reasonable fuel consumption figures. The charger module enables the engine to develop all of its power even at low engine speeds, which you can utilise to best effect thanks to the sporty Multitronic® transmission.
