The automatically controlled luggage compartment lid opens and closes electrically. If a button in the driver’s door trim or the
soft-touch button in the handle recess on the luggage compartment lid is pressed, or the remote
central locking control is operated, the lid will open smoothly. It is closed by pressing a button on the inside of the luggage compartment lid. On the Audi A6 the opening angle of the automatically controlled luggage compartment lid can be individually programmed by the driver, in order to prevent damage to the lid, for example, in the case of low garage roofs.
