Newcomer to Audi Sport customer racing: Team MS RACING is switching to Audi and will be fielding two new R8 LMS ultra cars in the 2013 ADAC GT Masters. On Tuesday, quattro GmbH handed over the 100th race car from Heilbronn-Biberach, a facility of the Neckarsulm location, to the squad.

The fans have delivered their verdict, and the winner is – the Audi quattro. With more than fifteen thousand “Likes”, Facebook users chose eleven cars for display in the new special exhibition “I like it” to be held in the Audi museum mobile. Most votes went to the 1984 Audi quattro with four-wheel steering, with the A1 clubsport quattro and Audi TT clubsport quattro joining the winner on the podium in second and third places.

The current Audi A3 has been honored once again for its design. According to the iF jury, both the interior and exterior of the compact model from AUDI AG set new standards in design. Audi Hungaria celebrates start of production in new automobile factory

AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft. is starting a new chapter in its 20-year history this Wednesday. The CEO of the Volkswagen Group, Prof. Dr. Martin Winterkorn, and the CEO of the Audi Group, Rupert Stadler, have given the official starting signal for series production of the Audi A3 Sedan together with Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. Within two years, Audi constructed a complete production plant complete with press shop, body shop, paint shop and assembly lines, covering floor space of more than two million square meters at its site in Györ. The company invested a total of more than €900 million in infrastructure, buildings and innovative production equipment.

AUDI AG: Further sales growth strengthens global premium market position in the second quarter

Audi has started the second quarter with further sales growth. In April, the Ingolstadt-based company sold around 133,500 cars, representing an increase of 6.6 percent compared with the prior-year month. In particular demand for the new A3 family and the Q3, Q5 and Q7 SUV models strengthened business for the four rings. Since the beginning of this year, around 503,000 customers in total have decided in favor of an Audi – a growth of 6.7 percent. This is the first time that Audi exceeded the threshold of half a million deliveries after just four months.

Audi Urban Future Initiative: The City as a Test Laboratory for Future Urban Mobility

In 2050 seven billion people will be living in cities: What forms of mobility will exist? And how will they be networked? Audi Group: after first quarter key financial figures continue on high level

Although the economic climate has deteriorated further in a number of European countries, Audi enjoyed a very successful opening quarter with some 369,500 deliveries to customers. With €11.734 billion revenue for the first three months of 2013 the Ingolstadt-based carmaker nearly matched the previous year’s record level. The operating profit of €1.307 billion translates into an operating return on sales of 11.1 percent – well above the strategic target corridor of eight to ten percent. Despite ongoing economic uncertainties, Audi is pushing ahead with its growth strategy and investing heavily in the future. The company all the while remains committed to its target corridor for operating return on sales.

Audi is more popular as an employer than ever before. The company recorded its fourth win in succession in the renowned employer rankings of the research institutes Trendence and Universum* and thus remains a top address for students in Germany. A green light for the start of the event season: in 2013 Audi Tradition will be present at more than 30 international events, including several anniversaries. At the Goodwood Festival of Speed, for example, Hannu Mikkola will take the wheel of an original Audi Rally quattro. In 1983, thirty years previously, he was the first driver to win the world rally championship in an Audi. 75 years have elapsed since Ewald Kluge became the first German winner of the world’s most difficult, hazardous motorcycle race, the Tourist Trophy (TT) on the Isle of Man on a 250 cc DKW. Audi Tradition will therefore be participating for the first time in the Classic TT held in August, which attracts motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the world to the island in the Irish Sea.

Audi makes a successful start to 2013: Worldwide sales climb 16.3 percent

Following the record-breaking year of 2012, AUDI AG has posted a successful start to 2013: In January, the company sold around 111,750 automobiles worldwide, an increase of 16.3 percent and testimony to clear growth in all regions of the world. The successful midsize model lines A4 and Q5 made a substantial contribution to this growth. Deliveries rose strongly in China at 38.5 percent. In the USA (+7.5 percent) and Europe (+8.6 percent), too, January deliveries topped the figures from the prior-year month.

Audi opens Research & Development Center for Asia in Beijing, China

With the opening of the new Audi R&D Center Asia in Beijing, AUDI AG is further strengthening its innovation capability in Asia and deepening the cooperation with its partner FAW-Volkswagen in China. The research and development teams will be active in product customization for Asian customers, including electronics and connectivity solutions. The engineers will also develop advanced technologies such as components for new-energy vehicles and efficient powertrains. With today’s laying of the foundation stone in the federal state of Puebla, the official starting signal has been given for construction work on Audi’s first own car factory on the American continent.
